The refrigerator was making a weird noise - as it turned out, the compressor was trying to start. Our technician found out that when the compressor was initially starting, it would be getting 13.5 Amp, and then switch to 2 Amps. Such a high current was too much for the overload relay so it would shut down. Replacing the start relay fixed this issue and the 25 year old Whirlpool EHB-191AK refrigerator started working well again. The tech also cleaned the condenser coil since it was completely covered with dirt, which could also cause malfunctions of the overload relay. A note to everyone: make sure you keep the condenser coil of your fridge to lower the chances of any issues.

Once filled with water, the display of the washer was showing that there were 42 minutes left in the cycle, then after a couple of minutes the number would change to 1 minute left after which it would stop spinning altogether. Our technician cleaned the contacts of the wetness sensor and cleaned out the air duct. After that, the Samsung DV350AER/XAA Dryer started working fine, as if there were no issues in the first place. Technology can be picky sometimes too.

The problem was that the evaporator coil was completely covered with ice and frost. The cold air was not getting into the refrigerator part. Our tech defrosted the evaporator coil inside the freezer and checked the heating element and the defrost thermostat - these components were working fine. He did more research on this specific model, and it turned out that the adaptive defrost control board 61005988 could be causing issues with the fridge. After our tech replaced the adaptive defrost control board 61005988, the refrigerator portion of Maytag MZD2766GES started cooling well again.

The furnace was not heating because it was not working with full power - the pilot light was working well but would not open full gas for heating. Our tech determined that the safety thermostat was not showing continuity. Luckily, this thermostat had a RESET button. After resetting the thermostat, the wall heater started working perfectly again.

A customer was having trouble with her Whirlpool Duet GHW9400PL0 washer - it was making noise and leaking during wash cycle. Our tech was able to diagnose the issue - the spider was broken. He also noticed that the drum was scratched and that’s why the washer was leaking. Since this was quite an expensive washer, the parts were very expensive as well and would cost $754, so unfortunately the customer decided to just replace the washer and not repair the old one.

Most Common Reasons Why Your Oven Might Be Making Noises.
Not every time that our appliance makes noises we need to worry.
And not every surprising noise is a big deal. For example, if you have a gas oven and it makes a hissing sound, it is just the gas releasing that will be ignited.
The noises of the oven can be connected with different reasons.
Its important to understand the reason for the noise.
Convection ovens often make noises, and in most cases, this is generally due to the way their impeller fans work.
When the impeller fan is the problem, the good news is that it is generally not a problem with the fan – it just needs to be cleaned.
If you do not have a convection oven but are seeing the same symptoms as described above, it could be an issue with the cooling fan. If you hear screeching, grinding, or squeaking noise – but only when you shut off the oven – it could be due to a dirty cooling fan.
Purchasing an appliance is considered a costly investment and we try to do our best to maintain it right and keep it in working condition as long as possible.
We try to give some tips for helping our customers fix minor problems themselves and properly maintain the appliance. Keep It Clean!
Accumulation of debris in the lint trap can cause the machine to overheat, but that lint can catch fire, so you need to be very careful. Clean the lint trap after every cycle and make sure you check the pipes in a while and vacuum them if necessary. Checki For Damaged Equipment
Run your hand around the edges of the door when the dryer is working. If you feel a lot of hot air coming out, you may be dealing with a damaged door gasket, which prevents the door from closing properly. Don’t Overload It
Thinking that the last pair of jeans you stick in won’t have any effect on your dryer? Think again. Overloading your dryer can prevent the clothes from drying properly and can also damage the rotating mechanism. When in doubt, you should do two drying cycles and split your clothes in two.
