A customer called us complaining that his LG wm2277hw washer was making a constant noise when in wash cycle. We sent Adam to check the machine and he was able to determine that the spider was broken. The customer was upset that to fix the noisy washer was such an expensive repair, but fortunately for him, LG parts are relatively affordable so he decided to proceed with the repair rather than having to deal with buying and installing a whole new unit. Next day Adam returned to replace the spider 4434ER0002D. After that, the machine was not making noise anymore.

At the first glance, the problem and the fix seemed pretty easy. The ignitor was getting the 75V but it would not light up. Seems like a common problem to fix which you simply have to replace the ignitor. So the customer did just that. But replacing the ignitor did not fix the problem and it still would not light up. That's when he called us to have a professional tech check the range. Our tech was able to determine that the switch had gone bad and had to be replaced. Once our tech replaced the switch, the range started working perfectly.

Another customer contacted us because his Fridgidaire ffes3015lwa oven was not working. The tech assigned to this order, Adam, had a couple of ideas for what could be wrong. He thought it was either the heating element, or the door latch, but there was also a possibility of the thermostat being out of order. First, Adam checked both heating elements, and they were working fine. Then, he moved on to checking the door latch and, finally, the thermostat, which, as it turned out, was not showing continuity. When Adam attached two wires from the thermostat, the oven would start working. At this point Adam was certain that the Frigidaire Range/Stove/Oven thermostat 318578506 had to be replaced.

The technician during initial inspection was able to figure out that the ice maker thermostat was not showing continuity during freezing and therefore the heating element of the ice maker was not working either. Replacing the 627985 Whirlpool refrigerator ice maker thermostat solved the problem. The customer was happy he could save some money by not replacing the whole ice maker unit W10190966.

A customer was having trouble with her washer that would fill up with water but then start humming noise in the motor section without proceeding with the wash cycle. The tech opened up the washer and determined that there was a wire that fell off from the start capacitor. He attached the wire back to the capacitor and the Maytag MVWC5ESXW0 washer started working again.

Most Common Reasons Why Your Oven Might Be Making Noises.
Not every time that our appliance makes noises we need to worry.
And not every surprising noise is a big deal. For example, if you have a gas oven and it makes a hissing sound, it is just the gas releasing that will be ignited.
The noises of the oven can be connected with different reasons.
Its important to understand the reason for the noise.
Convection ovens often make noises, and in most cases, this is generally due to the way their impeller fans work.
When the impeller fan is the problem, the good news is that it is generally not a problem with the fan – it just needs to be cleaned.
If you do not have a convection oven but are seeing the same symptoms as described above, it could be an issue with the cooling fan. If you hear screeching, grinding, or squeaking noise – but only when you shut off the oven – it could be due to a dirty cooling fan.
Purchasing an appliance is considered a costly investment and we try to do our best to maintain it right and keep it in working condition as long as possible.
We try to give some tips for helping our customers fix minor problems themselves and properly maintain the appliance. Keep It Clean!
Accumulation of debris in the lint trap can cause the machine to overheat, but that lint can catch fire, so you need to be very careful. Clean the lint trap after every cycle and make sure you check the pipes in a while and vacuum them if necessary. Checki For Damaged Equipment
Run your hand around the edges of the door when the dryer is working. If you feel a lot of hot air coming out, you may be dealing with a damaged door gasket, which prevents the door from closing properly. Don’t Overload It
Thinking that the last pair of jeans you stick in won’t have any effect on your dryer? Think again. Overloading your dryer can prevent the clothes from drying properly and can also damage the rotating mechanism. When in doubt, you should do two drying cycles and split your clothes in two.
