Today one of the techs went to check a 3-zone system in a three-story house. The problem was that the fan was working continuously for a long time, and would not shut off. The tech checked the three wireless thermostats that at first seemed like regular Honeywell thermostats, but there was the control module next to the furnace. The tech reset the settings on the module and turned the fan off on all three thermostats. He then tried turning the fan on on one of the floors, it worked, but it would not turn off afterwards. But when the tech brought the thermostat closer to the control module, it turned off. The solution was very simple - replacing batteries in the thermostats.

Another customer called Sunny Appliance Repair because his washer was leaking during the spin cycle. Adam took off the lower cover off the washer, turned the washer into spin cycle and saw that the washer was leaking somewhere from the top. He then took off the upper cover and saw that the drain pump was damaged from rubbing against the drum. Adam took the pump out, covered it with waterproof tape and tightened it with zip-tiles. He secured the drain pump so that it does not rub against the drum anymore. The leak was stopped and Adam was sure that it will not appear in the same place again.

A customer called Sunny Appliance Repair because his dryer would not start. During the initial consultation the tech found out that the 240V was not getting through to the motor when pressing the buttons on the panel. All the thermostats and fuses were working. The tech decided to try changing the motor first, but the machine was still not working. He checked everything once again and it appeared that the control board WE19X10076 received 120V, but the control board WE19X10076 didn't close the circuit to deliver 120V to the motor, so it didn't start. Our tech replaced the control board WE19X10076 and the dryer started working perfectly. The customer was happy about his working dryer, but the tech was even happier because he was finally able to figure out what the problem is after hours of work and long rides to the customer's place.

Washer Whirlpool Duet wfw95hexw2 stops mid-cycle and shows error E02 F06
A client called us because his Whirlpool Duet wfw95hexw2 washer would stop mid-cycle and show error E02 F06. Adam has worked with the same problem multiple times before so he had a pretty good idea of what could be causing this issue. He decided to check the motor control unit first since that was the part that was causing the E02 F06 error in the previous couple of Whirlpool Duet washers that he fixed before. And there was the issue: burned elements on the relay. Adam replaced the motor control unit and the washer started working like new.

A customer called Sunny Appliance Repair to get some help with his Trance AC that would not start. When one of our techs, Technician, checked the AC, he found out that the contactor was not getting the 24V. But when Technician tried pressing on the contactor with a screwdriver, it would start working. Next, he checked the thermostat, which was also not getting the 24V. Technician got on the attic to check the control board of the furnace. The 5A fuse was burned down, so he replaced it. When he turned on the furnace, the new fuse burned down right away. He checked the wires from the furnace to AC and determined that one of them was damaged. Once Technician repaired the damage, he went back and put the furnace together. The issue was fixed, and the Trance AC was blowing cold air again, which was a great relief for the customer on an extremely hot day.

Most Common Reasons Why Your Oven Might Be Making Noises.
Not every time that our appliance makes noises we need to worry.
And not every surprising noise is a big deal. For example, if you have a gas oven and it makes a hissing sound, it is just the gas releasing that will be ignited.
The noises of the oven can be connected with different reasons.
Its important to understand the reason for the noise.
Convection ovens often make noises, and in most cases, this is generally due to the way their impeller fans work.
When the impeller fan is the problem, the good news is that it is generally not a problem with the fan – it just needs to be cleaned.
If you do not have a convection oven but are seeing the same symptoms as described above, it could be an issue with the cooling fan. If you hear screeching, grinding, or squeaking noise – but only when you shut off the oven – it could be due to a dirty cooling fan.
Purchasing an appliance is considered a costly investment and we try to do our best to maintain it right and keep it in working condition as long as possible.
We try to give some tips for helping our customers fix minor problems themselves and properly maintain the appliance. Keep It Clean!
Accumulation of debris in the lint trap can cause the machine to overheat, but that lint can catch fire, so you need to be very careful. Clean the lint trap after every cycle and make sure you check the pipes in a while and vacuum them if necessary. Checki For Damaged Equipment
Run your hand around the edges of the door when the dryer is working. If you feel a lot of hot air coming out, you may be dealing with a damaged door gasket, which prevents the door from closing properly. Don’t Overload It
Thinking that the last pair of jeans you stick in won’t have any effect on your dryer? Think again. Overloading your dryer can prevent the clothes from drying properly and can also damage the rotating mechanism. When in doubt, you should do two drying cycles and split your clothes in two.
