The same customer whom we helped with his heater a month ago, contacted us again saying that the heater wasn’t working again. The Safety vent limit switch would not go back to its initial position after it has been cooled down. It wasn’t a big issue, luckily, and was fixed within a day by replacing old thermostat with AT Series Adjustable Thermostat.

We got an emergency call from a customer who after returning home from a short vacation found all the food in the fridge spoiled because of the non-working fridge. Our tech removed the back cover to check the compressor - it was cold. The inverter board WR49X10283 was getting 120VAC and floating power from 0 VAC to 3.6VAC from signal wire from main control board. From the inverter board WR49X10283, however, the compressor was not getting 230VAC, 150Hz. This was a sign that the inverter board WR49X10283 was defective. Since all the fans were working properly, the control board was not causing any issues so the only option was replacing the inverter board WR49X10283. Once this was done, the compressor started working again and the fridge started cooling.

Another customer found that his heater was not functioning, as usual at the most inconvenient moment, so he called us for an emergency repair. The control board was showing error “inducer motor RPM can’t read”. During the diagnostic, our tech determined that even though the motor was getting 120V power, it still wouldn’t start. The customer was shocked to find out that a new inducer motor HC23CE116 - OEM Carrier Bryant Payne GE Furnace ECM Inducer Motor 326023-401 costs $650, that was not what he had expected. But it’s always good to call a professional who can also think outside the box, like the tech in charge of this customer’s order. Instead of just buying such an expensive part, the tech decided to try and fix the old one. He removed the cover from the motor HC23CE116 and found out that the reason for its malfunctioning is ridiculously simple - a loose contact. Once he soldered the bad contact, the Bryant heater started working again.

With the first chilly days, another customer found their heater not functioning properly. This customer’s Apollo Hydroheat system heater stopped heating completely. After the standard check up, our tech was surprised to find out that the heater itself was working fine. The problem was actually with the water heater (boiler) - it was not keeping the water hot enough and that was the cause for no heat in the house. Very interesting appliance.

As soon as the customers would plug in the oven, an error code F1 would start flashing on the display panel, which, not surprisingly, means that there are some issues with the display panel. From previous experience with MAgic Chef ovens, our tech knew that the safest bet was to replace the control panel WPW10162787 completely. It would take, however, a few days for the control to come in and to give the customers an opportunity to at least be able to use the stove, he disconnected the control panel from the oven. A few days later, once he received the control board WPW10162787, he came back to replace it. Now the Magic Chef Maytag CGR3740BDW oven was working with no issues again.

Most Common Reasons Why Your Oven Might Be Making Noises.
Not every time that our appliance makes noises we need to worry.
And not every surprising noise is a big deal. For example, if you have a gas oven and it makes a hissing sound, it is just the gas releasing that will be ignited.
The noises of the oven can be connected with different reasons.
Its important to understand the reason for the noise.
Convection ovens often make noises, and in most cases, this is generally due to the way their impeller fans work.
When the impeller fan is the problem, the good news is that it is generally not a problem with the fan – it just needs to be cleaned.
If you do not have a convection oven but are seeing the same symptoms as described above, it could be an issue with the cooling fan. If you hear screeching, grinding, or squeaking noise – but only when you shut off the oven – it could be due to a dirty cooling fan.
Purchasing an appliance is considered a costly investment and we try to do our best to maintain it right and keep it in working condition as long as possible.
We try to give some tips for helping our customers fix minor problems themselves and properly maintain the appliance. Keep It Clean!
Accumulation of debris in the lint trap can cause the machine to overheat, but that lint can catch fire, so you need to be very careful. Clean the lint trap after every cycle and make sure you check the pipes in a while and vacuum them if necessary. Checki For Damaged Equipment
Run your hand around the edges of the door when the dryer is working. If you feel a lot of hot air coming out, you may be dealing with a damaged door gasket, which prevents the door from closing properly. Don’t Overload It
Thinking that the last pair of jeans you stick in won’t have any effect on your dryer? Think again. Overloading your dryer can prevent the clothes from drying properly and can also damage the rotating mechanism. When in doubt, you should do two drying cycles and split your clothes in two.
