Another customer called us because the fridge side of his GE Profile GSL25JFPABS stopped cooling. After reading the manual, our technician decided to replace the dumper. Refrigerator GE Profile Arctic PSC23NSTCSS with multiple problems - GE Profile Arctic PSC23NSTCSS Refrigerator Repair in San Jose, CA.

Refrigerator GE Profile Arctic PSC23NSTCSS with multiple problems - not cooling periodically, ice maker leaking, ice maker not dispensing cubed ise, condensate inside freezer - GE Profile Arctic PSC23NSTCSS Refrigerator Repair in San Jose, CA.
Another customer who has been putting off calling an appliance repair specialist for his refrigerator with multiple issues. To fix an issue with the fridge not cooling periodically, our technician replaced the control board WR55X10942. Condensate inside the freezer was forming due to the leaking ice-maker. To solve this problem, he had to replace the ice maker wr30x10093. Another issue that lead to condensate as well as no ice producing was an old ICE DISPENSER SOLENOID WR62X10055 which was jammed with rust. Once our tech replaced the CE DISPENSER SOLENOID WR62X10055, there was still no cubed ice. After more digging around, our tech found out that the SOLENOID CUBE WR62X23154 was burned out, probably from large amounts of condensate forming inside the freezer. Replacing the SOLENOID CUBE WR62X23154 resolved the issue with cubed ice. It looked like all the other problems with the GE Profile Arctic PSC23NSTCSS were caused by initially minor issue - the ICE DISPENSER SOLENOID WR62X10055 that got stuck and caused the malfunctions of the ice maker and the control board. The auger motor would also get jammed from time to time due to large amounts of condensate so that water inside this motor would turn into ice, jamming it. But all the issues were resolved and the customer pretty much got a brand new refrigerator after this many parts were replaced.

GE Profile PDSS5NBWARSS Refrigerator Repair in Palo Alto, CA.

Refrigerator GE Profile PDSS5NBWARSS - stopped cooling at all, evaporator fan starts working when freezer door is open for 3-5 min, ice maker leaking - multiple problems in one refrigerator

The customers called us because they were having multiple issues with their fridge and they just couldn’t put off the repair any longer. First, the fridge stopped cooling - replacing the Inverter Board WR49X10283 fixed that part of an issue. Second, the evaporator fan motor wasn’t blowing, or, to be more precise, it was only blowing after the customers would keep the freezer door for 3-5 minutes - to fix this problem, our tech had to replace the GE Refrigerator Main Control Board WR55X10956. Last but not least, the ice maker was leaking water. The tech ran a water valve test to find out why that’s happening: when he connected the water valve to 120VAC, water started leaking. When he turned the power off, water was still leaking. This meant that the water valve had to be replaced.

Oven Might Be Making Noises

Oven Might Be Making Noises

Most Common Reasons Why Your Oven Might Be Making Noises.

Not every time that our appliance makes noises we need to worry.
And not every surprising noise is a big deal. For example, if you have a gas oven and it makes a hissing sound, it is just the gas releasing that will be ignited.
The noises of the oven can be connected with different reasons.
Its important to understand the reason for the noise.
Convection ovens often make noises, and in most cases, this is generally due to the way their impeller fans work.
When the impeller fan is the problem, the good news is that it is generally not a problem with the fan – it just needs to be cleaned.
If you do not have a convection oven but are seeing  the same symptoms as described above, it could be an issue with the cooling fan.  If you hear screeching, grinding, or squeaking noise – but only when you shut off the oven – it could be due to a dirty cooling fan.

Preventative Tips for Dryers

Purchasing an appliance is considered a costly investment and we try to do our best to maintain it right and keep it in working condition as long as possible.
We try to give some tips for helping our customers fix minor problems themselves and properly maintain the appliance. Keep It Clean!
Accumulation of debris in the lint trap can cause the machine to overheat, but that lint can catch fire, so you need to be very careful. Clean the lint trap after every cycle and make sure you check the pipes in a while and vacuum them if necessary. Checki For Damaged Equipment
Run your hand around the edges of the door when the dryer is working. If you feel a lot of hot air coming out, you may be dealing with a damaged door gasket, which prevents the door from closing properly. Don’t Overload It
Thinking that the last pair of jeans you stick in won’t have any effect on your dryer? Think again. Overloading your dryer can prevent the clothes from drying properly and can also damage the rotating mechanism. When in doubt, you should do two drying cycles and split your clothes in two.
