Ten of the questions we get asked most — what to have ready, what happens when a part has to be ordered, how payment works, and what it costs if you decide not to repair. Anything missing, call (888) 622-2799 and ask a person.

Questions
Everything people ask us
Still unsure? Describe the symptom over the phone and we will tell you what is likely wrong — no charge for that.
Yes. We work 7 days a week from 7am to 8pm and keep same-day slots open across the Bay Area. Call early in the day for the best chance of a same-day visit — and you get a 2-hour arrival window, not a vague all-day one.
The service call is free when you go ahead with the repair. The technician diagnoses the unit on site, quotes the full price before touching a single screw, and only then starts the work. If you decide not to repair, you pay the diagnostic fee and nothing else.
Six months on parts and labor, every time you repair with Sunny — if no parts were replaced the period may vary. It covers the parts we replaced and the labor we provided; wrong or excessive use and clogs are not covered. If the same fault comes back, we come out again at no charge. Six months not long enough? A further six months costs $25. The manufacturer's own warranty on a part depends on the brand and can be confirmed at the time of the repair.
All major brands: Samsung, LG, GE, Bosch, Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Kenmore, Miele, Hotpoint, JennAir, Magic Chef, Roper, Sub-Zero, Viking, Thermador, Carrier, Trane and more. Our vans carry the parts that fail most often on these brands, which is why so many jobs finish on the first visit.
Yes. We service commercial refrigerators, freezers, washers and dryers for restaurants, cafés, laundromats, offices and apartment buildings. Downtime costs you money, so commercial calls are prioritized in the dispatch queue.
Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo and San Francisco counties, plus Sacramento — 60 cities from Berkeley and Oakland down to San Jose, and from San Francisco across to Livermore. See the full list of cities.
Two coupons, both off the labor: $25 for seniors and $25 for military and veterans. Ask for the one that applies when you book — one discount per visit, and it comes off the labor rather than the service call. Two more things are free rather than discounted: the estimate on any installation costs nothing and commits you to nothing, and the service call is free once you go ahead with the repair. Either way the exact price is quoted before any work starts, so you approve it or walk away.
We do. Alongside repairs we install air conditioners, furnaces, water heaters, refrigerators and washers. And when a unit is genuinely past saving, we will tell you that instead of selling you a repair that will not last.
Clear a path to the unit and have the brand and model number ready. If there is an error code on the display, write it down — telling the dispatcher the code often decides which parts the technician loads on the van.
The vans carry an extensive range of parts, so most repairs finish on that first visit. When a part is not on board we quote the job including that part, you approve the price, and we come back and fit it.
Yes, for a small appliance. Call (888) 622-2799 first and the dispatcher tells you where to bring it; we then schedule a time to look at your unit and call you that same day with a repair estimate.
No. We are open 7am to 8pm seven days a week, 365 days a year, and a Sunday evening slot is priced the same as a Tuesday morning one.
That is your call, and nothing starts until you approve the price. The service call is free when the repair goes ahead; if you decline, you pay the diagnostic fee and nothing else.

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal, plus cash and checks. Payment falls due when the work is finished, against an invoice listing the parts fitted and the labor charged — at the price you approved before the work started.
No. You pick a 2-hour appointment window rather than being handed a vague all-day one, and the technician calls you when they are on the way.
When a unit is down the revenue stops, so those calls go to the front of the queue. Because we start at 7am and run to 8pm seven days a week, a restaurant or laundromat can usually take a window before opening or after close.
Describe what the unit is doing and we will usually tell you what is likely wrong and a rough price range before anyone is dispatched — no charge for that. The exact figure comes once the technician has opened and tested the unit on site.
You get the exact repair cost before any work starts, so you can weigh it against a new unit. When something is genuinely past saving we say so instead of selling you a repair that will not last — and we install refrigerators, washers, furnaces, water heaters and air conditioners too.
